Went in for lunch with my co-worker. The food was amazing and you can't beat the price. Will be back to try the chicken and dumplings.

Had the chicken and dumpling today for lunch. Let just say it was the best I've ever had.

Your typical meat and three type restaurant. It was $7.50 for meat and 2 sides. Drinks are $1.50. Tea is AMAZING!!! Had the baked chicken that had a gravy and sides were mashed potatoes (real) and collard greens. Collard greens were kind of tough and had sugary taste to them. Mashed potatoes were good especially with the gravy from the chicken on them. Chicken and gravy were cooked well but slightly salty. Went for a late lunch, around 2:30, so it wasn't busy at all. Parking is available out front or just across the street. Not too bad but I have had better.

One of the best southern food places I've found in Middle Tennessee. A true gem. Reasonable prices and absolutely amazing food. Can't wait to go back.

Meat 'n three joint in downtown Smyrna.  Friendly service.  Pros: Good food.  Cons: Closes at 3pm and not open on weekends.  Go if you are ever in Smyrna at lunch time on a weekday.

ETA: I think they're open until 6:30pm now.
